Post 1137

There are a few rules for joining the Londonderry Police Explorers and they are simple.

Explorer candidates:
-Must be 14 to 20 years old {friends/family outside of this age group are able to participate in certain events with prior permission from the post advisor}

-Must be willing to sign a behavioral contract and have parent/guardian sign

-Must fill out an application to be signed by self and a parent/guardian (if under 18)

-Must sign and have parent/guardian sign a medical waiver

-Must pay an entrance fee of $100.00 (this covers insurance, Polo shirt with name and badge, and start-up costs).

-Must be willing to take direction and commands in a para-military setting from post advisors, volunteers and youth Explorer leadership.

-Must be prepared to engage and have fun, while learning and growing in a tight-knit group of peers and friends.
